2007 Syrah - Santa Lucia Highlands
This is an Old World-style Syrah with a variety of secondary aromas and flavors.
The fruit used in making this wine comes from a vineyard located near Gonzales in the Santa Lucia Highlands. The cool weather – driven by Monterey Bay’s influence – provides the foundation for the complex nature of this distinctive wine.
This full-bodied wine will compliment lamb shish kabobs with bell pepper, grass-fed cheddar bacon cheeseburgers, and beef and pepper stew.
Guy Greene - Derek’s Friend and Right Hand Man Back in the Day at Mohegan Sun
“These bison burgers are awesome on my grill. It may pair well with many of your Independent red wines.”
